Mandatory online registration through the FPCS system
Requirement to Register in the Foreigners Present in Cambodia (FPCS) Database
All foreigners in Cambodia, whether residents or tourists, must be registered with the General Department of Immigration under the Ministry of Interior.
The Cambodian government requires all foreigners to register online through the FPCS application, in order to collect data on foreign residents and visitors in the Kingdom.
No Visa Extension Without FPCS Registration
The General Department of Immigration will not issue any visa extension to foreigners who are not registered in the FPCS database.
What Is the FPCS?
The FPCS is an online system designed to register the personal data of all foreign residents and tourists in Cambodia.
These regulations apply to all foreigners holding a visa issued by the General Department of Immigration (E, T, K visas, etc.).
What Does “FPCS” Mean?
FPCS stands for Foreigners Present in Cambodia System.
What Personal Information Is Required?
- Passport information (automatically recorded by scanning your passport ID page)
- Your address in Cambodia (for residents)
- Your phone number (local or international)
Who Must Register Whom?
If you manage a hotel
You are responsible for registering your guests.
If you own your accommodation
You must register yourself.
If you are a tenant
The property owner is responsible for registering you.
⚠️ If the owner does not register the tenant, the foreign tenant will not be able to extend their visa.
The law provides that owners who fail to declare tenants may be subject to a fine.
However, nothing prevents foreign residents from registering themselves directly in the FPCS application.
If there is any doubt or misunderstanding with your landlord, we strongly recommend that you complete your own FPCS registration online.
FPCS Document Required for Visa Renewal
Remember to update your personal information on your FPCS record in case of:
- New visa
- New passport
- Change of address
- Change of phone number
The FPCS document will be required when applying for a visa extension, in addition to other requested documents.

How to Register on the FPCS System
Registration is done online via a mobile application.
Normally, the process is simple (when the app works correctly):
- A: Download the application
- B: Create your account
- C: Enter the required personal information
Before starting, make sure you have:
- Your passport
- Your lease agreement (residential or commercial)
- Your phone number
- A 6-digit password (keep it safe, it will be required for all future updates)
